Add Subtitles to VLC Media Player

VLC media player can give you more than just playing a video file. You can add subtitles and learn a foreign language while enjoying your favorite movie. There are just several steps to be taken.

  • Download the subtitles file to the same folder the video is in.
  • Play your video on VLC media player.
  • Click the video button on the menu bar.
  • Select the 'subtitles track' option and select the 'open file' button.
  • Select your subtitle file of that particular movie/video.
  • Click the open button.
  • Watch your video with subtitles.
